Accommodation
The self catering suites have a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge & tea coffee making facilities. All the suites have TV’s with M-net and a DSTV channel. The luxurious and spacious honeymoon suite has tea / coffee making facilities. Safe parking.
Facilities
The lodge is very children friendly with different kinds of animals i.e. geese, chickens, dogs, meerkats and different kinds of birds like guinea fowls, hadeda's, owls etc. We are situated less than 3km form the Tempe airport and approximately 15km's from the Bloemfontein airport.
Location
For those of you who need accommodation for Inter School events, we are less than 5km's drive from Grey Boys High which is one of the most popular boys’ schools in South Africa. We are also snugly located within a 5 km's radius form 6 different wedding venues to cater for your guests accommodation needs when your big day arrives. We are also parallel to the R64 route from Kimberley and Upington which makes us the first stop for guests travelling form that direction when you are entering Bloemfontein.
We are also located nearby three different and very pleasant garden centres, one of which has been awarded the Best Garden Centre in South Africa for the last three years in a row. We are also very easily accessed from the N1 route to accommodate weary travellers driving between Johannesburg and Cape Town providing you with a nice halfway stop before you continue with your long journey.
Bloemfontein
Bloemfontein is also known for its various historical landmarks especially with regards to the Anglo Boer War and the Women’s Memorial is a must see. Bloemfontein is also the only city in the Southern Hemisphere that has a National Natural Conservancy situated on Naval Hill within the city limits. We also have a large zoo near our very own Waterfront (yes a waterfront in the Free State) which is less than 6 km's drive from us.
The University of the Free State is also just 4 km's away which is ideal for parents who need accommodation when they come to see their children graduate or if you want to see a show at Bloemfontien's annual Volksblad Kunstefees (which is fast becoming one of South Africa’s biggest Afrikaans festivals).
The lodge is privately run and owned to ensure the best personal service to our guests. We are looking forward to accommodate you and your family or friends. Please drive safely and enjoy your journey, whether it is for business or pleasure. See you soon. |
