DESCRIPTION:
Erica’s Cottage in Berg Street, Clarens, is a real charmer! Nestled against the beautiful backdrop of the mountain side, it has everything that one could want to make one’s stay comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. Situated in the quieter, more scenic part of Clarens called the Swartland, it has view of the Rooiberg Mountain range, Mount Horeb to the East and Titanic Rock in the north, which encircle the town of Clarens.
Erica's Cottage is also perfectly situated within about 10 minutes walking distance from the main town square and therefore is ideal for parking one’s car for the weekend, and walking.
Self Catering Accommodation
The well insulated house is a comfortable stay for a romantic getaway or a family holiday. It has three bedrooms, two of the bedrooms having a queen size bed each, and the third bedroom with a single bed suitable for a child. The beds have electric blankets. The main bedroom has a great view of Horeb and the other double bedroom is north facing for warmth in winter and cool in summer. There is one bathroom, with toilet, bath and shower over the bath.
Living area
A homely, cozy north facing lounge and dining room invites guests to relax and enjoy times of reading and relaxation. In winter it is real sun trap. There is a TV with SABC, and E TV channels. Guests are, however, welcome to bring their own DSTV decoders, smart cards and cables if they wish to access their own full DSTV bouquet. There are also plenty of board games, puzzles and cards to occupy guests if they would like to a break from the box. There is a portable gas heater in the cottage.
Kitchen
The cottage has a fully equipped self catering kitchen, with a four plate stove (gas top and electric oven), kettle, toaster, microwave oven, fridge freezer, enough crockery, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils. Complementary tea, coffee, sugar and creamer is supplied.
Outdoors
The kitchen opens out onto a shaded patio, with patio furniture, surrounded by a well kept garden. A portable weber braai can used on the patio, or further up the hill in another secluded spot under garden trees. There is also the choice of a smaller portable braai. There is parking for two cars, one directly in front of the house, and the other in a single lock up garage. |
