DESCRIPTION:
Florentia Guest House is situated in the Northern part of Bloemfontein in the charming old suburb of Waverley with its tree-lined streets. The Guest House is situated at the foot of Naval Hill, close to the Naval Hill Nature Reserve. The old Orchid House is within walking distance. The Oliewenhuis Art Museum and the residencies of the Chief of Justice and the Premier of the Free State are close by.
For the sophisticated young at heart, we offer a hand made quilt experience with comfort, tranquility and style, furnished with hand-picked antiques. Suitable accommodation for corporate travelers, tourists, sport teams and families. We offer a room price with the option to add a continental breakfast or a cooked breakfast or both at an additional price. We cater for the special needs of the en route travelers.

The three bedrooms have outside doors that lead into a small private garden for each room. The owner does not share any of these facilities.
Each of the rooms has a fridge and coffee and tea making facilities within the room. Each room also has a covered “stoep” (patio) with table and chairs. Lounge area for the exclusive use of the guests.
Dining
We are close to Bloemfontein’s two most popular privately owned seafood and steak restaurants. The daytime restaurant in the gardens of the Oliewenhuis Art Museum is within walking distance from Florentia and an experience not to be missed when visiting Bloemfontein.
Location
Florentia is conveniently situated just north of central Bloemfontein, with easy access to the University of the Free State, Central University of Technology, Supreme Court, Appeal Court, Medi-Clinic Hospital, Sand du Plessis Theatre, major conference centers and the CBD.
Florentia is close to the entrance of the Franklin Game Reserve on Naval Hill. This game reserve on a mountain in the middle of a city is unique to Bloemfontein. Guests arriving early afternoon can have a drive through the Game Reserve and have beautiful views of Bloemfontein at sunset. Several animals like giraffe, wildebeest and several kind of buck offers you an opportunity to see animals without driving very far. |
