DESCRIPTION:
Nestled in the one of the most sought-after tourist getaways in South Africa, namely the town of Clarens, Forest View is a home away from home, with everything needed to create a comfortable, memorable holiday for the whole family. The fully self catering house is situated in the quiet scenic area of Clarens called the Swartland, and is a leisurely 10 minute stroll away from shops and the town square where there is a great selection of galleries and restaurants.
Forest View is surrounded by a large garden and sports great views of the surrounding mountains of the Rooiberg. Forest View is a birder’s paradise as it is situated across the road from a wooded area. The double volume living area of the house is large and welcoming, with two lounges and a dining area, a fire place, underfloor heating and a spacious patio with built-in braai for entertaining family and friends. The house is north facing with large windows for maximum warmth and light.
Accommodation
Three bedrooms are able to accommodate six people in total. Downstairs, the main bedroom is light and roomy, with twin beds and built-in cupboards. Upstairs, the second bedroom has a double bed and adequate cupboard space for a longer stay. The third bedroom is an open plan area on the landing at the top of the stairs and has twin beds which is perfect for teenagers and young children. All bedrooms are fitted with wall panel heaters for those cold winter nights. No need to bring one’s own linen or towels as these are all provided and for Clarens’s winter weather additional blankets and throws are kept in the cupboards of each bedroom.
Two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, are fitted with bath, basin, toilet and shower. Wall mounted heaters warm the bathrooms in winter. The lower bathroom also has a washing machine.
Facilities
The newly fitted kitchen is clean and crisp. A stove consisting of an under-counter oven and six plate hob offers the choice of gas or electric. A microwave oven, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee plunger, dishwasher and fridge / freezer are standard features. More than adequate crockery, cutlery, glasses, cooking appliances and utensils are provided as well as complimentary tea, coffee, rooibos and creamer.
Forest View and its large garden are secured by a metal palisade fence which allows for families with small children to relax and unwind while they play outside. Undercover parking is provided for two cars. Full DSTV and a DVD player are provided for catching up on news and entertainment.
