Gateway to the Home of the Lion - Khaya iBhubesi is an exceptionally distinguished 4 star graded conference venue, an oasis of scenic splendour and riverine tranquility. Khaya iBhubesi is situated on the banks of the Vaal River, on the outskirts of Parys, only 120 km’s from Johannesburg.
Unique and versatile, our venue dually accommodates conferencing and corporate functions. Khaya iBhubesi offers numerous team building and other activities, all supervised by trained professionals as well as an array of themed evenings and live entertainment acts known for their “wow” factor. We furthermore provide an onsite fitness centre and a bouquet of beauty, health and wellness spa treatments, perfect for rejuvenating the mind, body and soul. Ultimately the abundance of space together with the range of activities is what makes Khaya iBhubesi the ideal corporate getaway.
Luxurious 'meeting' places
Khaya iBhubesi offers versatile and unique conferencing facilities and private function rooms. Khaya iBhubesi has its own on-site Internet café and business centre. All our conference rooms are issued with standard audio-visual equipment.
The immense acoustically designed iBhubesi Hall is ideal for large functions. The Libandla converts into a tranquil riverside conferencing venue, as well as a chapel and a short stroll down to the riverside leads you to the Lapa, where a smouldering bonfire beckons you to relax and absorb the African spirit.
The Roots Deck & Sundowner, the most recent addition to our ever expanding portfolio, both overlook the breathtaking river and was built specifically to give clients the opportunity to meet whilst enjoying the relaxing outdoors.
Ibhubesi Hall (450 maximum)
Air-conditioned and acoustically designed the iBhubesi Hall is ideal for large conferences and functions.
Libandla Hall / Chapel (100 maximum)
The Chapel converts into a tranquil riverside conferencing room, known as the Libandla Hall, which is air-conditioned.
Indaba Hall (50 maximum)
Indaba Hall is an intimate venue, ideal for smaller groups and is air-conditioned.
Lapa (40 maximum)
A stroll down to the meandering riverside leads you to the Lapa, a luxurious meeting place, where a smouldering bonfire beckons you to relax and absorb the African spirit.
Sundowner (30 maximum)
Set in tranquil and private surroundings, this air-conditioned and beautifully decorated executive boardroom overlooks the Vaal River.
Roots Deck (300 maximum)
Set in tranquil and private surroundings. This venue also consists of four spa breakaway rooms that can be used for small meetings as well.

Fully serviced, the Mufasa Guesthouse is the pivot point in this picturesque environment boasting a rich sensuous tapestry of designer living. The double volume Shaka Village is a delightful fusion of contemporary and African pieces and the Simba Chalets, Rafiki Riverside Lodges, Phumba Lodges and Nyala Log Cabins all boast a rich mixture of urban flair and global cool. Khaya iBhubesi can accommodate a total of 161 delegates.

From offering an elegant menu, which equally matches the gracious décor of the Dumbe restaurant, our Chefs will cater to your every whim. At Khaya iBhubesi, we offer laden buffet tables to elegant a-la-carte sit-down dinner parties. Enjoy Exotic cocktails under an African sky or tea under the shade of the Gazebo’s in the tea garden.
