La La Nathi is the ideal stopover choice, situated on the N3 just outside the historic town of Harrismith in the Eastern Free State Highlands. Set in magnificent country surroundings this thatched homestead is a haven of peace for the weary traveler. Whether unwinding in our delightful gardens or heated swimming pool during summer or relaxing in front of a roaring log fire in winter, our guests enjoy the intimate atmosphere and personal service and attention which we provide.
The Drakensberg Mountains, Clarens, and Golden Gate National Park are within easy reach. La La Nathi is situated 3km from Harrismith on the N3 towards Durban.
Accommodation
We have 17 cosy en-suite rooms with under floor heating and TV with DStv, tea/coffee making facilities. Our 3 luxury rooms have a private lounge with fireplace, TV's in the bedroom and lounge, spa baths and a body showers in the bathroom.
Facilities
An added attraction is the blesbuck, springbuck, steenbuck, Zebra, blue wildebeest, ostriches and guinea fowl that roam the property. We have a sand volleyball court on the property and a children’s jungle gym for all to enjoy. Our property and the surrounding secondary roads lends itself to enjoyable mountain biking.
Dining
Our home cooked dinners and country breakfasts are optional.
Functions
La La Nathi has become the ideal venue for birthday, anniversary and family weekend getaway celebrations. We do our best to meet every guest’s special request to make their function unique. We have a braai area on the deck which lends itself to relaxed year end functions. Our ever popular three course dinner also remains a good option for a function.
Weddings
Because of the tranquil surroundings this scenario lends itself admirably to being the perfect setting for a wedding (2 to 200 guests). There is a Gazebo in the garden, which is used for ceremonies, or we are only 3km away from Harrismith where you have a choice of different churches. The smallest church in the world is 20km from us.
Our Khumbula Hall can accommodate up to 200 guests. The "Pool Room" hall accommodates max 70 guests. The adjacent bar and deck provide the perfect setting for a reception. We offer a complimentary honeymoon suite to the bridal couple who has their wedding here.
Conferences
At this unique venue, tailor made conferences to suite your requirements can be arranged. Both small and big groups are catered for (2 to 200 delegates). The Khumbula Hall can accommodate up to 200 delegates. The Pool Room can accommodate, maximum 35 delegates seated in a u-shape style.
The conference rooms are equipped with a white board, flip chart overhead projector and each delegate receives mineral water, pen and notepad. A data projector is available to hire on request. |
