DESCRIPTION:
If you like breathtaking mountain scenery then Quillets is the place for you to enjoy it. Here is probably the best view from any B&B in Clarens. Perched on the side of a mountain, Quillets B&B is 1km from the village centre on a tarred road. Thus you have easy access to the shops and restaurants without the congestion and noise of the village centre.
Accommodation
Situated on five acres of gardens and orchards, Quillets is a haven of peace and tranquility, just the place to relax and unwind. Furthermore, you will have the accommodation to yourself as we take only one couple or family at a time.
You drive right up to the luxurious accommodation, the most spacious in Clarens. There is a very large bedroom (50mē) with a double bed and two single beds. This allows you to make your own sleeping arrangements.
The en suite accommodation includes a large sitting room (with DStv) and library (60mē), full bathroom and toilet, a second toilet and wash basin, a sitting out area off the bedroom and in addition a balcony with table and chairs off the sitting room - all connected by a short flight of stairs.
The suite is tastefully decorated and towels and linen are supplied. A hospitality tray has tea, coffee, biscuits etc. There is a good sized fridge for the use of visitors, a toaster, microwave, oil-fired heaters and electric blankets on all beds. An added advantage is a lock-up garage on request and the use of a swimming pool.
Relax and enjoy the undivided attention and warm hospitality of your hosts Dr. Roly Whittaker and his wife, Nancy, who will gladly advise you about the many activities available in Clarens and make bookings where necessary.

Activities and Attractions
Come to Clarens in March and run the Surrender Hill Marathon. This is one of the most scenic marathons in South Africa and is also a qualifying run for the Comrades Marathon. If you do not wish to run the full distance you can participate in the half marathon. This race is run annually so make a note of this for the future. Come as a club or get a group of friends together and spend the weekend in these beautiful surroundings.
Visit a few of the excellent restaurants and do a tour of the art galleries and quaint shops. There is a pub selling locally brewed beer and cider so come and join us and have fun. How about a bit of birding as well?
