Situated in the charming, picturesque village of Clarens in the Eastern Free State, San Rock Guest House sets the standard for superior accommodation. Set within a lush 3000 sq. metre garden with spectacular mountain views, the following modern facilities are offered:
Self Catering Accommodation
Main House
• Enormous kitchen with state-of-the-art facilities, including oven, hob (gas stove), microwave and dishwasher
• Open-plan, large lounge with satellite television (DSTV) and separate dining room with 8-seater table. The double-sided fireplace between lounge and dining room makes for cosy winter evenings
• Enjoy balmy evenings on the undercover patio area with fan and built-in barbeque/braai, enjoying both the garden and mountain views
• Main bedroom suite with private upstairs patio and full bathroom
• Two further bedrooms with a full bathroom and separate toilet. An additional guest toilet is situated off the entrance hall
• Luxuriously appointed twin beds, linen and towels are provided in all rooms
• Under-floor heating and fans throughout
Guest Suite
• The separate, very popular, guest suite comprising bedroom, kitchenette (microwave, sink, fridge, etc.) and full bathroom may be booked separately or as part of the main house
• It has its own entrance as well as double doors onto its private patio looking onto the mountain
• Satellite TV (DSTV) is provided
• Luxuriously appointed twin beds, linen and towels are, provided
• Under-floor heating throughout
The Loft
• The Loft is, quite simply, spectacular and may be used as a romantic honeymoon suite. Totally separate from the Main House, it offers in excess of 60 square metres of accommodation comprising king-size bed, bedroom/lounge with open-plan fully equipped kitchen and a full bathroom
• Early morning breakfast and sundowners on the patio are greeted by breathtaking vistas of the mountains of Clarens and the Maluti's of Lesotho, as well as the village with its famous church and bell tower below
• Satellite TV (DSTV) is provided
• Under-floor heating and fan

• Tea, coffee, sugar and rusks/biscuits are provided for your convenience
• Electric shaving outlets are provided in all bathrooms
• Double lock-up garage
• Shaded car-park for additional 2 to 3 vehicles
• Please note that, with regret, children under the age of 12 will only be accommodated under special circumstances

Under the watchful gaze of Mount Horeb and within the embrace of other beautiful sandstone formations, the village of Clarens welcomes visitors with a warmth and character that becomes addictive. Clarens has become a sought-after wedding venue with a choice between two character-filled stone churches for the ceremony - truly a day to remember!
Outdoor enthusiasts are able to experience clay pigeon and bird shooting, quad biking, magnificent (horse) out rides, river rafting, mountain biking, abseiling, hiking/rambles and birding. Sportsmen will enjoy finely manicured, testing golf course on the Clarens Golf and Trout Estate, as well as trout fishing.
The majestic Golden Gate National Park is a short drive from Clarens and offers mountain scenery, game viewing and the occasional glimpse of bearded vultures.
