DESCRIPTION:
Situated in the heart of the country, Wynott Country House is an ideal stop over for those travelling between the Cape to KwaZulu Natal or the Kruger Park, and is only 17km from the world famous Golden Gate National Park. Experience the spectacular beauty and scenic wonder of the Eastern Free State at Wynott Country House, situated in the charming village of Clarens, in the shadow of the Maluti mountains. Here there is only peace and serenity, perfect for a quiet and restful break away from your daily routine!
ACCOMMODATION
Unit 1 (sleeps 2)
Unit 1 consists of a spacious bedroom with a double bed. It has a ceiling fan, heater, radio, hair dryer and ample cupboard space. Electric blankets and additional fluffy blankets are supplied to keep you warm on those cold Clarens winter nights. There is also a TV with selected DSTV channels, SABC and e-tv. A small lounge area forms part of the bedroom.
There is a large bathroom complete with a separate shower. Quality toiletries and towels are supplied. The kitchen has all the necessary crockery, cutlery and cooking implements. There is a microwave, fridge, stove, kettle and toaster. Situated in the kitchen is a glass dining table with comfortable chairs. A glass sliding door opens onto a private patio with garden furniture. Here you can sit and relax while enjoying the view of Wynott’s garden.
Unit 2 (sleeps 4)
Unit 2 has 2 spacious bedrooms each with en suite bathrooms. The one bedroom has a double bed while the other has 2 twin beds, which can be separated. Towels and toiletries are supplied. Each room has a ceiling fan, heater, radio, hair dryer and cupboard. For those cold nights, there are electric blankets, under floor heating and extra blankets. There is a TV with SABC, E-tv and selected DSTV channels.
An open plan kitchen contains a microwave, fridge, stove, kettle, toaster cutlery, crockery and all the necessary cooking implements. There is a 6 seater dining room table and lounge seating for four. Each bedroom opens onto a private patio, overlooking an Olde World English Garden, with magnificent views of the Eastern Highlands.
Main House (sleeps 6)
The main house sleeps 6 in three bedrooms, with a double bed in two of the rooms and twin beds in the third bedroom. All beds are fitted with electric blankets and all rooms are heater with wall panels. There is a shared full bathroom and toilet, with an additional separate toilet. All linen and towels are supplied.
There is a separate dining room leading out onto a north facing sunny patio. The lounge and living area has a large fire place and additional west facing patio leading out onto a manicured garden. There is TV with selected DSTV channels. The kitchen is fully self catering, with a fridge freezer, gas hob and electric oven stove, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, with all the cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery necessary. Braai facilities are shared with the other units and are situated in the garden under a thatch boma.
